I see this may not work on this website as the calculations are all for weight loss. If anyone wants to have an informal Percent Body Fat Loss contest, message me or just post progress here.

Yeah, a body fat challenge won’t really work in the standard fashion. However, we will be adding additional types of challenges soon, and I’ll count this as a vote for a body fat challenge.

Cool! Once we all get the message that it is really the body fat we’re most interested in eliminating, rather than the weight necessarily, interest will soar in a body fat loss challenge.

OK, did my measure for August and I am at 27.8%!! That makes me feel a lot better about the one pound weight loss this last month.

Way to go CGK! That’s what makes the Body Fat analysis so great – it measures what really counts.

hmmm, not to sure how I can show my progress…over the past 3 months, I’ve gained about 15 lbs of muscle and lost about 12 lbs of fat
But the way this is suggesting my percentages, its looking at weight lost rather than actual fat lost…

My body fat as of 3 weeks ago was at 24%.

My goal is 14% in the next two months.

I was told a good start is 2% a month…
I’ve lost almost 3% a month for the past 2-3 months. Trying to start eating smaller, more often and healthier would hopefully bring my numbers up…(although I am building muscle too)

It is great to see what progress looks like with other Real People. :) I did my monthly check tonight and the two weeks of vacation are showing (lots of walking around, way too much eating).

I think fat loss is way more important then just weight and it really can help you tell whether or not you are healthy.
Umm mine is 39.8% back on September 1st :P
September 21st – 37.9%

Goal: I would like to be in the 20-30% range :) Miracles do happen I am told…

I’m in this too! Starting at 22.5% – this is definitely a more ‘healthful’ and fair challenge considering we really want to lose fat. Did they ever get the automatic tracking fixed for this?

P.S. Keep it up Ktek! BF is a little more stubborn than weight. I used to weigh 330 pounds and now I’m 220 shooting for 10% BF or less. Miracles happen if we make em happen :)

I Lost 5 Lbs!

Hey well it seems I have the largest body fat % here! Mine is 47.7%. I recently started training with a personal trainer who is awesome and he introduced me to weight training, and now I’m addicted, having lost 1.5% BF in the last 3 weeks.

September 28 47.7%

Hi all, I’ve already achieved my weight loss goal, although it’s recurring now, I wanted to focus on reducing my body fat from 18% I’d like it to get to 12% by the new year.

32.9% per my Tanita 1st thing this AM, and I will use the 1st % upon waking as the baseline, since that always seems to be the peak of the day. (Just re-checked at 31.1%, and I certainly didn’t exchange 2 lbs. of lean for fat in the last 6 hours.) Goal for early AM reading is about 25%, which should put me around 23-24% on the lowest reading of the day.
