Allow video embed in My Journal

Is there a way you could allow us to embed video in our My Journal post. This would allow us to post video blogs from vimeo, youtube, etc.

If this can already be done someone let me know.

I don’t believe this is possible at the current time, but it is a great idea and we will look into adding this as a feature.

What kind of video do you want to post? Fitness related videos?

Plz plz plz don’t let Gyminee become like myspace. People embedding videos of stupid crap left and right. Makes the pages look god awful, you go to someone’s page and have your sound up and next thing you know you got some inappropriate rap song playing loud and you’ve got your 1 and a half year old saying “smack them hoes”. No please.

If you need to post videos… dump them on Youtube and post the link.

Gyminee uses a journal, not a blog. I would expect that there was meant to be a difference.

Yes, I just wanted to post fitness related journal videos. I know you can just post the link, but it would be cool if I could just use the embed code and have them appear on my Gyminee page.

This isn’t currently possible. We are on the fence about whether or not to make the Journal feature more robust. It seems like 50% of users like the idea, but 50% want to keep it nice and simple.
