I recently read another user on the site thought that someone at Gyminee (you guys should add your own name to your spellchecker) had a good sense of humor. He was talking about how the bike across the USA challenge was posted in kilometers and the Tour de France challenge is posted in miles.

The whole point of this thread is to point out that, if I set my preference for miles, or whichever metric, in my profile why wouldn’t that apply when I looked at challenges? Admittedly it is an annoyance at most, however there is at least one person in this community that would really appreciate the change :)

Thanks for your time!

I second that. Or even better, show the figure in the preferred units and add the converted unit in parenthesis (so we all know what we’re taking about).

I Biked 100 Miles!

I’ll third that :)

Also: in Europe we mainly use Kilojoule rather than calories as energy units, so an option to enter energy values for food in KJ would greatly speed up the time spend on adding food to the database.

Certainly automatic conversion of pounds and kilo etc. should be automatic – I have very little clue, when things are written in miles/pounds/feet :)
