Search personal nutrition history (and summaries of history?)

This applies somewhat to workouts, but mostly this is annoying me with nutrition. Sometimes I put in a placeholder food from the database for something I ate and later want to go back and correct it from the actual packaging when it’s significantly different. Likewise, sometimes I work out how a food in the database corresponds to my brand/portion size, but forget to favourite it. If I eat it again I have to find it again and calculate again. I would like to be able to search for foods within things I’ve eaten. This sort of applies to workouts too – although it’s more a case of seeing a summary longer than a day instead of having to go back day by day to find what you did. |

Hmmm, I definitely see where you’re coming from. Currently, the Fitness Report may help out with this problem (Locker Room -> Fitness Report). If you upgrade your account to PRO it will allow you to view all the foods you have eaten over a flexible time period (past week, past month, etc.). We do plan to improve the process of re-eating foods though. I believe something as simple as a “Recently Eaten” section would help out a lot. Thanks for the suggestions. |

i have held off the pro trial a little because a) 7 days is a little short; b) i think the accuracy and ease of adding re-eaten foods or correcting inaccuracies is crucial to the use of the site and therefore how long i will stick to it. there is no doubt that the majority of my time using it is spent finding and adding foods, and this takes time out of one’s day. i’m not convinced i want to be still spending that time AND paying money to do so. think search within your history would be incredibly helpful, especially if replacing an item could offer to replace all such items. |

I think this would be a nice feature if it could be added as a checkbox on the search page. |

I just read the “new food search in the works” article and was going to post this as a suggestion, but since it is already right here I would just like to second it. I have found that my Favorite food list is getting mighty long and it would be nice to add a “stuff I’ve eaten” check on the search page and even have those results appear higher in the results. Cheers. |
