My GymBuddy, Wooly Bully
| May 31, 2008 3:54pm |
I workout at home. Around the corner of the door opening is our Parrot named Wooly Bully. He’s quite the ham. When I workout he tries his best to get my attention, which makes me laugh which in turn, makes me lose strength. When I do Concentration Curls I try to ignore him by counting out loud. One day I started counting and Wooly bully joined in. Me…One WB…Yah Me…Two WB…Yah Me…Three WB…Yah With each rep, the more I chuckled the weaker I got. Me…I’m done WB…Very Good! |

Sometimes Wooly Bully makes me laugh, then I lose concentration and thus strength! ha If I ignor his chatter, he’ll shout (progressively louder), “Hear me? Hear me! Hear me?!” Then I respond, “Ya, I hear ya’”. Sometimes he’ll ask, “What’cha doin’ in there?” I’ll respond, “Nine…ten…exercising…eleven..” Then he’ll laugh exactly like me, which makes me laugh. He helps keep me from getting bored when I’m doing extra long sets or reps. |

NC, I got High Speed Wireless now, and looked at Alex the Parrot. Amazing!! I’ve read that African Greys are the most intelligent Parrot and have the intelligence of a 5 yr old human, and the Electus (that’s what Wooly Bully is, a Solomon Island Electus) are 2nd smartest. So I figure, if Wooly Bully drops down to a 2 yr old, he can reason, and maybe some of the things he says isn’t coincedence). Like, one day my husband dropped a pan lid with a loud ‘clang’ and Wooly Bully said, “Break it?” We don’t know where he got that from. ha It was sooo cute when Alex wanted to stop and kept saying “Me go home.” That reminds me of when we’re leaving the house and my husband will say, “I’m going to town Wooly” and Wooly Bully says, “Me go Pappa?” Thank you for that link! |

Have you ever seen Tillman, the skateboarding dog? He is so cute! I saw him on Greatest American Dog. |
