Recomemndation - Whey Protein - no sweeteners
| Aug 19, 2008 6:29pm |
I have recently started to abandon all artificial sweeteners from my diet (right now, no diet soda). After I finish my tub of Optimum Nutrition, I would like to switch to a whey protein that has no artificial sweeteners in it. Any recommendations? Taste is always a factor, would be nice if I could just mix with it water and have it taste decent. Thanks |

Try ON’s 100% Natural Whey |

What do you mix it with? I tried an all whey protein not that long ago and it isn’t the greatest tasting thing. Thanks |

I love ON’s 100% Natural Whey (Gold Standard). I’ve found it goes great with a glass full of plain yogurt with just a little bit of milk. My typical mixes are (in the order they’re added to the glass): |

I love Whey Protein unflavored by Jarrow Formulas. No artificial sweeteners or artificial flavors. Just added it to the food database. |

Just wanted to note that ON’s 100% Natural Whey has fructose (natural sweetener) so that should make it taste OK. I’m trying to avoid artificial stuff also. 24g Protein in 130 calories is pretty good. I’ll probably give it a try. |

I use ON’s Gold Whey. I can’t stand the taste of milk so I only mix with water. I like all the chocolate flavors. I have not found the courage to try the strawberry or vanilla yet! |

If anyone’s in Canada, wheydepot.ca has good prices on unflavoured natural whey. |

Oh, and it mixes really nicely with orange juice, vanilla + banana to make a nice morning smoothie. Add strawberries for even more flavour. |

Check out Stevia as a sweetener in your shakes. It is 100% natural. I use it in my shakes, coffee, tea, and even for cooking. Basically I stopped using sugar, replaced it with splenda. Then found out that splenda was no good for you. Again Stevia is 100% natural, you can find it at Whole Foods, Trader Joes, or in a grocery store that has an organic foods section. It has 0 calories, 0 sugar and 0 carbs. |
