iPhone Users - What are you using for Headphones?

I'm using Voda Phones now, not bad but the plug that you push into the iPod is too slippery and I have trouble pulling it out because its milled metal and very slick. Sound quality is great.

I used to have the Shure E3's and they were great but weird keeping them in place and hurt after a hour or so

I think I'm going to try the Motorola Bluetooth active head phones

I wont have to carry the iPod around the home gym. I just need a bluetooth adapter because I'm using the iTouch until the 2nd gen iPhone comes out.

I use Coby CVEM86. I gott'em from Amazon for under $20. They fit the iPhone without an adapter and they sound pretty good too. They also have the smallest mic & button that ive seen (next to the original iPhone buds).

I'm thinking of getting these and using them with the iPod adaptor (will just need to turn my iPhone upside down in my armband to allow for the protrusion out the bottom... (I'm so hoping that Apple will enable A2DP in a [near] future firmware update...)

THE BEST HEADPHONES EVER!!!!! AND THEY ARE CHEAP

I looked high and low and tried every headphone I could find, and after spending about 800 bucks for a few headsets I found that this was the best one.

The Rivet headphones have the built in mic for the phone users with the button to skip and pause and play functions of the original set but these have a built in layard so they hang around your neck so there is now down force to pull them from your ears.... I could go on forever but these are the best and they retail for 30 bucks but I got mine off of ebay for 12 bucks, here is their web site.

Bluetooth is good for driving, but not good for musics.

I prefer the overhead style for cardio. I've been using this set for awhile now with my regular iPod. I bought a replacement pair from Amazon.com and to my surprise they made them iPhone compatible.

I use the SE530s with the Shure Music Phone Adapter, best around. Ive tried the v-moda vibe duos, the bose in ear, the skull candies... the Shures blow them all away. Not to mention, any Shure SE model (There are cheaper ones) are all modular, so you can add the music phone adapter to make it work perfectly with the iPhone.

Skullandy

I just ordered the Skullcandy FMJ iPhone from Amazon. It was a tossup between that and the V-moda vibe duo. Then I saw some really bad write ups on the V-moda's - that they sound really good but the quality of construction is awful and they tend to fall apart and/or cut out withing 2-3 months.

I want a model with the mic and there aren't too many of them out yet. My main concern is that the mic/button skips songs. I've seen reports both ways for both of these so I hope I made the right choice.

SONY MDRJ10

I use the Sony MDRJ10. I use them for my iPhone and my iPod when I work out and also for my monitor mix when I play drums. The key here is that they clip around the ear so they don't come loose, and they are INEXPENSIVE. I've found them for as low as $5. I go through headphones like crazy, mostly because I'll catch the cord on something and tear it, or I'll just plain lose them. These are cheap enough that I don't care. I always have 2 or 3 pairs on hand. They come in a half dozen colors as well if that concerns you.

Hi Joanie

Well I tried them and they were pretty nice, but I found out the battery performance it less thans favorable. So I when to the 2nd gen Bose in ear phones, They are really nice after you get the right size ear pieces on them. I got them on eBay for 99.00 shipped. I'm very happy with them. They are nice because you can actually hear your surrounding area sounds when they are at low levels.

I use the Motorola Bluetooth active head phones

The Motorola bluetooth headphones with the Oakley iCombi adapter (http://oakley.com/pd/4280) is great for the iPhone. It lets me listen to the music and then answer the phone if a call comes in. It really sucks that Apple didn't enable the bluetooth profile that lets the headphones work with the iPhone directly, but the iCombi (at $49.00) does the trick. It also works with my iPod, so it makes it easier to justify the purchase.

These are the two best headphones for the best price.

I use the first ones for everyday use and for weight lifting at the gym. I would use them for cardio too because they hold up just as good as the second but I dont want to get them all sweaty since i use them for everyday headphones.

They run about $50 each but you can get them cheaper on ebay.

They are hands down the best, most comfortable headphones I have ever owned.

Bose Headphones

I use the Bose in-ear headphones for working out. I like that the little rubber earplugs keep them in your ear, and seal out most of the gym noise. Great sound reproduction, especially deep base. Only the plug does not fit the iphone without an adaptor. I solved this with some careful carving using an exacto blade to trim a bit of plastic away from the headphone plug. For home use and on airplanes I use the Bose Quiet Comfort 1 headphones...they can be beat, and you can get an iphone cord to replace the standard cord, so it fits perfectly. It also includes a microphone so you can answer calls and talk with the headphones on.
