iPhone Users - Gyminee iPhone 20 App

Anyone knows if Gyminee has an iPhone App planned?

Now that I've seen the iPhone apps, web based seems kind of slow and outdated.

Yeah Livestrong is a little quirky. But has some nice options. I still prefer Gyminee though. I just wish there was a little more support for the Pro users including the iPhone native app that seems to never be coming out. The Developers kit for iPhone has only been out for what 10 months? So I can understand the lag time. If Gyminee does complete the native app it will propel them to the top of the heap in a very short time.

LiveStrong but...

True, LiveStrong does have an iPhone native app but I've been testing it for a week now and it's SLOW even under wifi and the database side has crashed on their website twice in a week.

I've moved my stuff over here. If they have a native app for Gyminee I might just become Pro...in the meantime, I'm using the iPhone web version.

Shamrocky: No, an update of an app does not erase your data, and there is no charge for updates. There have been "buggy" apps and it's possible an update somewhere along the line may have erased data (within the app), but this is not the design. After a couple dozen updates I haven't lost any data.

iphone apps updated and cost

I have two questions - I heard that when you update an iphone app that any information that you have stored on that original app is gone or erased?

Also, each time you download an update of an app that you have already paid for, are you charged again?

Wile you wait for a native iPhone app

Hey guys! So I know it sucks to go to a gym that has no wifi and poor reception to update your exercises up to gyminee's web app.

I know they are working on a native app for the iPhone and in the mean time you guys should try out Fit Phone. It allows you to set up a workout plan and track your results, it keeps everything on the phone so no need for internet connection.Cost $5 bucks and it works pruddy good. I used it today to track my workout, then came home and updated my Gyminee!

I would love an app as well, I upgraed to pro but found it to be a waste and plan on downgrading before renewal, but I would definitely keep it if there were an iphone application with more features than the current web app for iphone

go to www.gyminee.com/iphone
Press the "+" to add a bookmark
Instead of selecting Add Bookmark, select add to home screen
Then just select add (you can change the name before selecting add if you want

If all goes well, you should have a nice "G" icon.

They are working on an iphone app, but in the meantime, they do have a Gyminee icon that you can put on your iphone with all the other apps. It is much faster when you want to enter your info in your iphone. Just press the icon and you are direct to your Gyminee homepage already signed in. It helps alot!

Cocoa Abilities

Native apps feel (and are) a lot faster, because it's less actual data to transfer over the network (be in GPRS or WiFi, or UMTS for you lucky ones who have the network deployed).

It would probably be loooot of work, but it could be a great incentive for a pro account. Maybe $20 for the app, or free for pro users. That way, it's actually $5 cheaper to just sign up for the pro account for 3 months, and you run a chance of hooking those "thrifty" users :)

I have started using the iPhone at the gym to track the weights I lift with my workout program, but since there is no WIFI at the gym it takes a bit of time to upload my data, it would be nice if there were a program we could use that would upload to Gyminee once you got back to a WIFI zone.
