Subject Description

I actually prefer a lot about the old style, especially when it came to entering nutrition. I'll think I'll stick with gyminee though, having built up a good history.

It is quite cool being able to compare lifitng graphs with gymbuddies. I do like that.

Pros

  • Improved calendar
  • Improved reports and charts (compare to GymBuddies)
  • Improved menu navigation
  • Easier to submit and edit workouts

Cons

  • Favorites not as easy to work with. Too much scrolling.
  • Nutrition log for the day is at bottom of screen and you have to scroll.
  • You get a summary every time you add a nutrition item. Ok at first but annoying when you enter a half dozen items at a time.
  • Hardly any food shows up in food groups so that tracking of food groups is useless. This did not work with the earlier Gyminee either but I thought that it would have been fixed in new version. I would exepct that a new food would have a food category entry.

I guess that is enough for now. My main complaint is a lot more scrolling. Font sizes are huge and I have not been able to adjust browser settings to shrink them. Browser's Zoom level just messes screen layout more.

We're Listening

Hey guys,

I'm one of the developers with Gyminee. I just wanted to pop in real quick and say that we're listening to all the feedback. We will try to improve things based on feedback ASAP. Thanks for all the great suggestions!

cheers Stephen, good to hear.

The main bug for me are the changes to the nutrition log.

  • I liked having my favorites accessible, at the top of the main page.
  • The pages are too long now. Too much scrollling. Pretty much everything could be a whole lot smaller.
  • I liked the easier "I ate this" and add to favorites functions.
  • Nutrition graph is good, keep that.

Unless I missed it earlier, I think I see a new feature: the quick add button for nutrition. Nice.

I still wonder how the food group categories work. It is more prominent in the layout and could be useful since a calorie is not necessarily a calorie.

Very few of my nutrition items are relfected in the food group category. I suppose the only ones that are recognized are the foods that Gyminee had available and not the user additions. Should be a food group category field associated with each food item.
