Then I started eating meats again about two years ago; and since then I have gained about 20 pounds! I have never had to deal with this, si this is going to be a life change really. Wish me luck!

Newbie

Hey girls! I just joined, and I'm SO ready to get my pre-flabby body back...I put on weight during a stressful time, and I am SO ready to shed the pounds. I've done alright, I recently shed about 10...but my vacation was this week and I didn't really adhere to great eating so we'll see what the scale says. I'm tall...so feeling "big" on top of that...so not what I need. :-) It's back to the gym tomorrow!

Portions & Motivation

I just bought a nutritional food scale to help me figure out exactly how much I am eating and it's an eye-opener! It's amazing that the servings at restaurants are enough four 4 people! That has helped me pay more attention to what I eat.

I also started downloading more energizing and motivational music as well as audiobooks for when I am working out. It's motivational and really practical. I might as well feed my mind while I'm burning pounds! My new favorite audiobook is "Look Great, Feel Great" by Joyce Meyer.

What I'm doing for myself

Eating breakfast everyday, no matter if I feel like it or not. I work with a trainer (not workout, but work with) and all I hear is breakfast breakfast breakfast when he talks to clients. So, I am eating breakfast and drinking lots of water to keep me hydrated and keep my system flushed. I've got a lot of junk food in me I'm ready to get out.

One thing I do for myself

To improve myself, I'm doing more weight training and listening to my mp3 player - to my favourite tunes to keep me motivated!

I've been going for almost a month now on this misssion to lose weight - that the one thing I make sure to do when I'm down or frustrated is to take an awesome bubble bath. I've got a few amazing mixtures from Sephora, including salts, bubbles, and lotions, and this always seems to pick my up in spirits.
