Subject Description

I think its awesome that this site breaks down into a ratio what a person's nutritional goals should be based on age, gender, height, weight etc. However I think with more advanced users this might hold back their progress. For instance , sometimes it's better to not have a same daily calorie requirement, but necessary to eat alot more one day, and less another day to break through plateaus, and vary calorie intake that the body has grown accustomed to. Or other users might want to try a higher carb ratio diet before an event. Or a person who wants to have a higher protein ratio diet. It also doesn't take into account things like carb loading or unloading. Therefore it reads that a person isn't hitting their nutrient goals. I recommend letting users also change their nutrient goals, from calories, to grams of CHO, Protein, and fat intake. It might also be a nice feature if WHILE the person is making changes the website gives tips and advice. Such as if a user inputs an extremely high protein amount goal, the website should display what the RDA of protein .83xBW in Kg, and facts like, too much protein will turn to fat, in what instances a high protein diet might be useful, etc. That way beginners and intermediates can break out of the same routine nutrient goal diet and start to take active control in their goals, with help and advice.
