Breakfast today: 2 Tim Horton donuts (running half hour late); small hot chocolate from Timmy Snacking: candy (bought for student prizes...) Lunch: Pork pot roast w/onions; 1 bar 3 Musketeers; Dinner (very bad): Wendy's 10 nuggets; small fries, 1 medium Cherry Coke Need to cut the snacking at school OR snack on something healthy like fruit, veggies or crackers! At least I made it to the gym today and worked off 500 calories!

Ewwww...

I'm not doing well on either the eating or exercising front. I've got to change at least my eating habits. I can't afford not fitting into my pants. On Thanksgiving day, I will be running an 8K with a co-worker. I have not been running outside in a very long time (2 or more weeks) and can't stand running on the treadmill for long. It doesn't seem to give the same feeling for me. But, if I plan to make it 5 miles in a little over a month, I have to get my rear in gear! Since I don't have time to enter and look up foods, I might wind up just listing them in an entry like this. So for today: Breakfast: 2 slices potato bread toast with Strawberry Maple spread Lunch: leftover Cheesy Chicken & Broccoli Bake from Tully's Afternoon: 5 fun size Hershey's chocolate bars Dinner: small salad w/Ranch dressing; cheesy lasagna (2 pieces); 1 glass Sangria, 2 glasses of wine.

Work is horrible. I no longer work out except for 1-2 times on the weekend. I dislike myself when I can't work out.

School started yesterday so much of my gym time has now been sucked away from me. I will still try to go with my hubby but I know there will be time when I will not be able to go On the hundred pushup (modified for me) I just did day 1 of week 5. Wow, it is very hard. But who would have thought I could EVER do over 120 modified pushups in one day! Not me! So, once I am able to do 100, I will start working on the non-modified version. I'll be happy if I can do 10 of those.

I've been bad.

I haven't had a good run (more than 10 minutes) since Monday and I've been eating crap this week! Hence, the weight gain. AAAHHH, this is BAD news. Must stop. I am running today though. In other exercise related news, I started the One hundred push up challenge (hundredpushups.com) last week. Supposedly in 6 weeks I should be able to do 100 push ups. I repeated week 1 because I felt I needed it. Next week I'm on to week two!

I need to start running everyday. The heat is getting to me. I know that I can run a consecutive 3 miles but I haven't been able to in a few weeks. A co-worker and I are planning to run a 5K Friday. I hope it's not too hot!

Today

Today I had a major sugar craving and gave in to peanut butter cups and Skittles. I think this has to do with the burnout I'm feeling at school. We have 9 instructional days left. I begin giving my finals on Monday so after that, things will call down. I hope that I can do better tomorrow.

Well, here's to another new start

I'm trying to lose about 30 pounds total to be at my 'healthy' weight. At the moment, I look pudgy but not necessarily 'fat'. I can do everything I need to do on a daily basis but my doctor isn't happy with what she sees. I have also inherited high cholesterol (yay) and am likely to develop diabetes (double yay) because of my genes. So there is definitely a need for me to do this. If you're interested in being my gym buddy, please feel free to add me. I won't discriminate as long as you're not negative! I lead a busy lifestyle as a teacher and part-time grad student and am looking forward to the summer!
