RE: weight loss

Hey girl, I don't think is bad that you haven't step on the scale. I only weight myself every couple of weeks; I can't weight-in everyday, it drives me crazy, I feel too much pressure. Some people let the scale rule their life, that's not good. So, if you feel good, full of energy, & having fun with your workouts then stick to it. I think the increase in cardio is going to help you a lot. I personally think cardio is the key to weight loss, of course along with good nutrition. have fun at the gym this week! Jocie D

How are things going for you? I totally understand you wanting to lose weight! I am way shorter than you (5'2'') and I'm 165ish. I used to be a size 5, and I liked it a lot!! Now I'm a size I won't even say! Ha ha! Keep it up! You can do it! :)

Don't give up. I believe you can again become a size 6, but before you can "get back there" you're going to face many obstacles & is going to take time. Honestly, you just have to keep pushing fwd; every time you get "pushed back down" just stay focus & get back to working out & monitoring your eating. Don't be so hard on yourself; you might not get back to be your old self, instead, you might become a better you. If I was closer to IL, I'd so be your workout buddy. Hey, may be we should schedule a virtual workout together, like a Sat morning run, if you run it, I'll run it. Ok, I'm done :), Happy Workouts to you! Jocie D

i feel like a failure

why is it that i always let food rule my life. I thought I was doing better with the binging problem and the emotional eating but i feel out of control. It is hard to believe that two years ago I was in a size 6 running 5 to 6 miles a day, dancing on the weekends, and full of energy. I want so badly to get back there. I want to beat this. I wish I had a workout buddy here or someone who was going through the same issues I am. It is so hard and I feel like a baby for always complaining about how I hate how i look. I do not want to get diabetes or any other health problems. I want to be my old self again and i just feel like everytime I start going in the right direction something blocks me and pushes me back down!

feeling good

I am feeling good today about how I handled my diet and exercise. I kept the sugar to a low and my only splurge was a coffee with about a 1/5th of the cup filled with fat free cappuccino from Hucks Gas Station. It is a weakness especially when I have to study for another couple of hours at least. I am going to start doing a strength workout I found that I think will be a good one for me because it involved dumbbells which I have 50 lbs of adjustable ones at home.

Hey there, thanks for the invite. how's school going? I see we are in the same swimming challenge, cool, it's going to be hard to catch up with the guys but we gotta try. Girl Power! In your post below you talk about making time to go to the gym, I know its hard; may be you could try to do 10-15min of calisthenics at home before starting your day. Back to school

After one month of being back I still am having a hard time exercising and keeping to it. I really want to change my lifestyle. I know it will make me feel better and I will be more awake during the day also if I exercise. I read also that if I weight train and do cardio I will have a lesser appetite. I need to make the time. In order to make the time I need to get to bed earlier by midnight at latest, preferably 11pm and then get up by 6am or 6:30 to hit the gym. I pulled out of the half marathon last minute. Now I have to make up for it!

old habits :-(

I had an old habit come up. I snuck food... chocolate. Chocolate covered raisins and pretzels and then half of a nutrition bar. I did it while everyone was taking a shower and i didn't want them to know. I guess it was because we had lunch at about 3 and i feel like I shouldn't be hungry. It wasn't even hunger though. I NEEDED the chocolate. Well at least I thought I did. I hate the feeling of sneaking food. It was a dumb thing to do. If I'm hungry I shouldn't feel ashamed of it. END OF STORY!

i had a horrible action take over. I went to tcby to get one more dish of chocolate soft serve and then I went to get my last cup of hucks coffee. I have now had my proper goodbyes. ;-)

weight and Body fat

starting tomorrow on Monday I will start weighing myself as well as recording my body fat reading. Not looking forward to seeing the result of my endless binging for the past 5 days but I know I can recover. It is also the start of clean eating. I am excited!

Good job on your running this morning! I know the hunger is hard, oh do I know how hard it is. Get a good diner and don't forget about snacks, the TLC 7 Grain crackers are good and not to high in calories. I just make sure to portion them out. Sandwiches made out of the bread you got me seem to feel me up more, they are so dense. I love it!

So far so good

Well I got a good start and ran. I felt good after it but it hurt. I would like to go out walking later but there is just no time. I have stayed away from sugary stuff including artificial sweeteners. The closest thing I have had to sweet is a little bit of FF mayo and a glass of milk.

Ugh! My stomach is gurgling! I have gas and feel like shit! I thought I could handle one bar but turns out it took nearly 7 of them before I was semi full. No more eating for me today! Just the gym... or maybe a run. SOMETHING!
