Still struggling for motivation. Tis a rainy, Monday and I am so sleepy. I need to excercise tonight.

Week 6

This is bull crap. I should be atleast 10 pounds less than when I started. I am so tired of worrying about excercising and eating right and only doing it half-ass. Here we are in the middle of February and I am still dragging my feet. Enough already! Clean up your diet and focus on 5 days a week. By my birthday ( Week 11) I better be 10 pounds less. I know that the weekends are wrecking my progress during the week. I need to refocus the energy I have for wanting a drink to doing some projects around the house. I would like to paint the kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. I promise to limit my drinking to one night on the weekend until Week 11. Then, maybe alternate weekends, baby steps. It is not that I am an alocholic, but I know that having any alcohol totally destroys your metabolism not to mention your will when it comes to making good food choices. It is ca complete derailment. I have to minimize this impact if I want to make a change.

Week 5

Well....this past week has completely sucked! Not only did I not excercise, I did not stick with my diet (not even close!) I feel like I have fallen off the wagon and pressed for time. Hell, summer is around the corner and I am still dragging my feet. Bull sh@t! Today is a new day to a new week. I have not weighed in a while and will not do so until the end of February. I should be able to reach my first goal by then. Stay focused Holly. You can do it! Stayed up late watching the Super Bowl and I am so exhausted, but I am going to drag my ass to class this afternoon no matter what! Forgive myself for last week, let it go, and focus on doing the best that I can today!

Week 4

I blew it over the weekend! Not only did not excercise since Thursday, we went out Saturday night and ate the best meal ever. To top it off, I drank way too much and even went as far as having dark chocolate fondue for dessert. Talk about falling off the wagon. It is quite clear that I lose discipline when I am drinking. Everyone else is eating whatever they want, why not me? I tell you why...because I promised myself this is the year that I will make a difference in my life. No one can do it, but me. I have a very important day tomorrow ( interview for new career (which is also my NY resolution)) I am under so much pressure and stress about it. I don't want to blow it. I want to go to class tonight, but I still need to buy accessories for the interview outfit. We will see how it goes. No matter what, tomorrow I am back on it! Stay focused Holly!

Week 3

Here we are in week 3 and I am feeling positive about my weight loss thus far. I have to remain focused and stick with getting in a minimum of 5 days of excercise a week. To date, I have lost 6 pounds. However, I am not going to weigh again until February. I do not want the number on the scale to discourage me. So far, I have not had any hurdles. The diet portion is going well and I feel like I have a good variety of fruits and veggies in my diet. My goal is to lose 10 pounds by February.

Week 2

I am so sore! Man, you don't realize how out of shape you are until you get winded when doing the same excercise that you breezed through months ago. The good news is that I lost 3 pounds last week, and I am actually enjoying the excercise right now. I find that I am looking forward to the next opportunity where I can make a difference in how I look. On the nutrition side, this week I did not prepare any meals for the week like I did last week. I hope that it won't derail me and I can stick with lo- cal options.

Week 1

This is the first week of the "new lifestyle". Not looking forward to excercising. I have not been to class in months and will be embarrassed to walk back in after not being there for so long. I am hoping that the nutrition will come as easy as it once was.
