Getting Back on the Horse

Unwell

I am currently unwell so my exercise and tracking will be off for a bit :(

Ooops

I fell off the wagon a bit the last week, in terms of intake, recording and exercise. I will now get back on. I am not worried about this as I think it is impossible to be strict about such things for months on end and I have done well so far. I remain positive about achieving my goals and I am in no way resentful as I think a short break will have done me good as I can now refocus.

Rest weekend

This weekend I have only undertaken a little light walking as I have a few aches and pains that I think it is better to recover a bit from before I hit the gym again. Today I am also starting to track my resting heart rate. Currently 58 and my waist size currently 40 in.

Jogged 10k

For the first time ever I have jogged 10 km, 10.56 km to be exact, without slowing to a walk and without being hugely out of breath. My weight is also down by another 1lb so that is a loss of 3lb over the week.

Gym Induction

My gym induction went well, all the Cardio machines are the same and very modern. I will get a workout organised, going back tomorrow.

Gym

Today I joined the Glasgow Health Club so I get unlimited access to the gym, swimming, steam room etc and classes if I want. My Gym induction is on Friday, I will need to get a pair of trainers for the gym.

This week I have managed to get a lot of exercise including a long weekend walk and three times I walked to and from work. I have also done quite a bit of weight work. I have also upgraded to Pro :)

Changes

I am still working on doing more jogging, but it has not happened yet. I like the changes to the site but I miss seeing the total weight lost that used to be where the ads are, maybe it is on the pro version.

More jogging

I feel I need to get out and do more jogging as my weight has been more or less static for the past week. I have been able to jog further without walking breaks than I have ever before so I think it is time that I start jogging two or three times a week.

Exercise Mix

This weekend I walked 25 miles / 40.7 Km tonight I will be back on the rowing machine and doing the weights. I think it is important that I can vary my exercise sources so that I don't become bored. My main cardio exercises are the rowing machine, long walks and the occasional jog.

20 Days

I have been using this site to keep me in line on eating and exercise for 20 days now and I have lost 12lb, which is just fantastic. I am not getting bored as I am varying my exercise and my foods. I plan to update my picture when I have lost a Stone/14lbs.

Feeling lighter

I actually feel lighter this morning although I haven't weighed myself for two days and I don't think I have lost more weight. I know from the past this can be a problem because I feel better and I start to ignore the rules that I am following. I can now fasten my belt at the fourth notch, not very comfortably but I can do it. At the start of the year I was on the last notch and I am now comfortably on the third.

Submited Workouts

Well I just submitted my workout and the calories burned from the walking were missing and I can't edit them. Never mind, another 1lb drop today :)

Workout

I have added two more weight exercises to my workout, both at 10lb and I have upped my existing exercises to 20lb with fewer reps. On the rowing machine I am trying to bring my time for 10km down rather than spending more time on the machine as I think this will help my lung capacity more.

Calorie goals

I seem to be having a problem hitting the calorie goals. This is not on purpose I am just not feeling hungry. I don't want to be stuffing my face when I am not feeling hungry as that is when I am having to do this in the first place.

Going Well

I have lost another lb, yay! Did a 6km jog last night and I wasn't really out of breath like I usually am.

Waist

I have not seen a lb drop in my weight for the last few days but my waist is definitely down in size. I am comfortably on the third hole on my belt and at the start of the summer I was on the first.

Making Progress

I have been using this site for just over a week and it is keeping me focused on loosing weight and eating healthily. I have a long way to go yet but I feel I have made a better start than I have ever done compared to previous attempts to loose weight.

First Exercise

Started to use my rowing machine at last. 10km covered in 30 minutes gave a very good sweat. I will add more weight reps and exercises I think.
