Not good

I've been watching my cals this week and doing well but i haven't lost any weight yet. Usually i can lose 2-3lbs by now but i'm a little scared that my metabolism is shot! I don't know maybe its because i didn't lift very often for the last month until this week and now i've gained some muscle back, i don't know but i'm hoping that my metabolism hasn't dropped significantly.

Back on track

Well I've been gone for three days, two of which was driving so my eating habits were horrible. The Hardee's monster burger was rock bottom for me. Now I'm back home and lifting and eating correctly again. five pounds in 4 days, not good.

Well its mostly the weekends

The weekdays are usually good for me but then the weekends come and everyone want to go eat out and then its a problem. Mom and Dad did try for a while, I remember when they wouldn't even buy sweet cereal but now Mom is on the ice cream diet and Dad only drinks coffee so... who knows.

I was going to ask you how your diet was going and I read your health journal. I blame mom and dad for raising us on such horrible diets, so when it gets down to it...our unhealthy ways are their fault. :)

Eating out sucks when your trying to lose weight

So we go out to eat with some friends and i control myself and order a chicken ranch wrap with tortilla chips. This is about the lowest calorie meal there but then my friends have to order appetizers and dessert for everyone! Then my other friend doesn't finish his chicken Parmesan so what is a hungry guy to do? I can't let it go to waste and then I'm starring at this huge pile of ice cream covered in whipped cream and fudge and still resist the entire time until the end when i had to finish the whipped cream and fudge remains. I love food too much i think.

The buffet called my name.

My wife and I ate at the pizza ranch buffet today and i only had two plates and i usually have 3-4 but i got full much faster cuz of the diet. I've only ate around 2000 cals all week so i was stuffed from two plates. Then I just ate cereal for dinner and my total cals for the day is over 3000! Crap, I can't believe how fast calories add up! Plus i ate a lot more every day last month so I was probably up to 4000 + before the diet.

Back to good nutrition

Since i've started Gyminee I've worked out all but two days in August and I've only lost three pounds. Today I've made the commitment to start eating healthier. Without proper nutrition my results will be drastically slower, so here it goes!

From HIT to split routines!

For the first time in years I'm going to try some higher volume split routines. The move from single sets to multiple sets is very difficult. I'm so fatigued after one set now that my weights seem so light compared to before when i was used to more volume. I really love the extreme pump created with higher volume routines compared to HIT. I've also been extremely sore this week from my three workouts so far. I can't wait to compare the results between HIT and bodybuilding workouts!
