Long time, no post! I have withdrawn from the Alberta Northerns show as I felt that I was not coming into condition fast enough to peak for June 7th. I upped my calories (just a little... up to 1830), re-introduced healthy fats into the diet (nuts, peanut butter, avocado), AND dropped the insane 2 hours + of cardio per day. I now do 30 minutes of moderate intensity cardio, 5 days a week. The stalled weight loss re-started. In the last 2 weeks, I am down just under 8 pounds. While it's good to see the weight moving, I'm thinking that this is too fast, and I may have to slow this down a bit. Never thought I would see the day that I would say that!!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!! Weight is coming off slowly but surely.... of course, not as fast as I would like, but... I've recently changed up my meal plan, so hopefully that will kick things into overdrive in the next 2 weeks or so.

OK.... not too terribly pleased about this week's weigh in, but I can justify it. Number one - menstrual cycle, number 2 - cravings that go along with it. I was only on track for 3 days this past week. The other days were not SUPER bad, but were bad enough that I didn't get the results that I wanted. On a positive note, I was able to have a reasonable meal on Saturday, then brought it under control and had a good Sunday... I think I'm on my way! I've been having real troubles with weekends lately... this is the first good one in a LONG time. Am going to try EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). It's a way of re-programming the mind... ever heard of it??

Hello Gym Buddies! Weekly re-cap.... I'm down 1.6 pounds this week, which actually makes me quite happy.... we ate some bad things last weekend AND I'm about 2 days away from my monthly female curse, so I KNOW that I'm carrying water. This week was bad in terms of going to the gym to lift weughts (we didn't....), but good in terms on cardio.... 30 minutes of "Gazelling", 5 days a week. All in all, a successful week. I am scheduled to "up" my calories on Monday, but I think I may let it go for one more week and see what happens. This weekend, we will be doing a (that means ONE...LOL!) nice meal out in a restaurant... trying to keep it within reason.... till next week...

Well, after 2 days of being "quasi-bad", I'm doing a protein day or two. This is where you eat almost exclusively protein and keep your calories low. This should promote a drop in water weight which will have been picked up from eating salty, sugary or fatty foods, and hopefully promote fat burning after a day or two of indiscretions!!
