I'm back from my Austin trip. Thankfully I didn't go overboard on the intake, but there was little to no deliberate exercise. I did have to walk all over Austin - no car.
Did you mean my profile pic? It took me about 3 hours to take that pic with my mobile phone, was trying to take it from an angle that only showed the one chin - strategically placed hair does wonders!
In the words of Homer Simpson 'Too much work makes Jack something something something...' I recommend you try and beat work senseless instead because I think that may burn more calories!
Hey, just wondered how it was going? I've raised my game on the weight lifting and 4/8 at the moment on smo's Most weight lifted in October challenge. You should join, will be fun!
Can't believe all the crazy calories I'm burning. My housemate is maybe 350 plus pounds and he sits and watches dvd's all day, day in day out. He actually made a comment about me constantly eating the other day (I eat around 5-6 healthy meals a day), which I thought was hilarious coming from someone who actually defiles a healthy jacket potato by putting tinned macaroni cheese and ketchup on top of it...
Well when the other personal trainers heard that mine was leaving to go to University they all started sucking up to me. I've confounded them all by choosing NONE of them hah! Which is why I need all the motivation I can get... I also designed the new website for my trainer I'll link it to you when it's up and running :D
Yeah I know what you mean. Everytime a new personal trainer joins our gym they always make a beeline for me. Sometimes I've barely got out of the changing room before one pounces on me - they see a fat person and they start counting the dollar signs before their eyes. I was lucky, the personal trainer I chose wasn't like that at all, not the stereotypical himbo gym trainer either. I do think you should have a rapport with a personal trainer so if you're not getting that vibe and she's only ok as a trainer then I would choose someone else if you can - it's a lot of money to pay for someone who isn't delivering!
I'm sure you'll get back on track soon enough. How was the trainer? Having someone there to push you really makes a difference. My experience with my personal trainer was awesome, he really helped me with my confidence, nutrition and my incredibly bad posture...lol. Talking of training I'm just off there now, I've got a feeling I'll fulfull some of my fitness goals today!
Finally back from my 3 week business trip and it looks like I'm down 0.2% body fat but up 8 lbs on the scale.
I'm calling bullshit on the weigh-in, though. I'll see where I am after I've had enough water and haven't been subsisting solely on airplane peanuts for 4 hours at a time. =)
That's awesome Xinu....Though, as you start using the treadmill, be aware of any sensations coming from your knees in the days after you use it. Running on treadmills puts more stress on your knees than running on grass or a track, but some people can handle it. Just be aware of your body so ward off harm.
I finally hit the treadmill here at the gym last night. It wasn't too bad aside from walking in the dark for a half mile because the sensor didn't see me anymore.
What up xinu....In regards to Safari, that's not exactly true....You only lose whatever data is in Safari when you get out of Safari and then start using something else that decides it needs more memory than is currently free...Then, your phone purges the memory associated with "Safari.app" to give this new app (lets say Google Maps for example) the memory it needs....Multiple times at the gym, I will have Safari open with Gyminee on it while I input data, then go back to the home screen and then go to "Clock.app" to use the timer for my break and then go back to Safari all while listening to music without losing any data...You just have to be careful to not open any new program that may demand so much memory as to purge old shit.
My intake, through the weekend and now into this week (anniversary on Sunday) has sucked. Calorieking is pointing and laughing at me.
Right now I have a blister on my right foot and bug bites all over my legs from this stupid outdoor event. Itchiness be damned, I will go to the gym tonight!
It's a little sobering to enter my intake into calorieking dot com. It's tracking fat, sodium, etc. and right now today is amounting to suck. Will have to shred at the gym this afternoon to compensate.
At the recommendation of my trainer I've signed up for this site. At first I was skeptical because it's a hassle to enter everything I eat, but the info that comes back is really revealing. More details out on geekfit.com when I get this post typed up.
Sounds very interesting! I take it that you are very good with computers :p
I am an engineer in the making! Currently pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering in hopes to be able to aid Mother Nature and her deteriorating state :( I want to help stop global warming and clean up!
I met with Julie today at the gym. We talked about my intake, workouts, and other fitness goodness. I dropped the exercises in that we did. Next session is Monday morning before Vegas.
Wow dude. The mere fact that you went and did something so many insecure people are so inherently afraid of doing, despite the fact that doing so make you so much more apt to stick with it and stay on your grind, makes me respect you so much. Seriously. I'm proud as hell that you put up progress pics. That's the first step to the definition of a new you. You've got a new fan....I'll be sending props and motivating you and watching that weight graph slowly come down week after week with you.
Great job putting up your progress pics. It'll be really helpful to look back on these as you begin to lean down and build muscle. I know I'm glad I took mine!
