Back in the saddle

I was in a funk for a while after my brother passed. I think I am ready to hit the road again. This morning I went for a run/walk. It felt good to exercise again. One day at a time.

How are you?

I know things must be tough with your brother passing. How are you doing?

Had a setback

My brother passed away last thursday and I have been eating terribly. All the bad foods...and plenty of them. When I stop entering them into the system, I know I have fallen. I am going to try to put them all in tonight so that I know what I have done. Also, I watched my niece compete in a triathalon today. This motivated me to go back to the gym and run.

You know what's awesome?

Your will and drive. It doesn't matter how long you ran today or how far, it matters that you did it and you worked for it and you put pain aside for the glory of your accomplishments. Remember a long journey has to start with one step. You're making those steps that lead to success.

Ran Today

I ran for a short time today - about 4.5 minutes. My knee is feeling OK right now, so I will continue to work at that pace Thur and Sat this week.
